NetStar-1 to Provide Information Assurance Management and Planning Support to TRICARE Management Act

Under the task order, NetStar-1 will support a wide range of IA-related services associated with the management of programs and projects assigned to the IA Division of the Military Health System (MHS) Chief Information Officer. The IA Division coordinates and collaborates with the Service medical departments; TRICARE Management Activity/Health Affairs; other DoD and Federal Government agencies; private contractors; and industry healthcare, technology, and standards organizations to promote interoperability, data sharing, and security of automated information systems in the MHS global enterprise. NetStar-1 will provide management support for integration and interoperability, identity protection and management, information assurance, Web and database support, and architecture and standards.        

The task order was issued under NetStar-1’s existing TRICARE Evaluation, Analysis, and Management Support (TEAMS) contract vehicle. It includes a base period of 6 months, with four 1-year options, and has a maximum potential value to NetStar-1 of approximately $16 million.
